Wiring Outputtransformer Hammond 125C

ECC99

4 Ohm = 1 (black) + 3 (green) = 15 kOhm prim.
8 Ohm = 4 (yellow) + 6 (white) = 12,8 kOhm prim.
16 Ohm = 3 (green) + 6 (white) = 12,8 kOhm prim.

ECC82

4 Ohm = 5 (violett) + 6 (white) = 22 kOhm prim.
8 Ohm = 2 (orange) + 4 (yellow) = 22,5 kOhm prim.
16 Ohm = 1 (black) + 4 (yellow) = 21,5 kOhm prim.

Common Errors

  • Incorrect or missing grounding: this may cause hum, noise or a non-functioning amplifier. Check the ground connections! Check the layout!
  • Wires of the mains transformer are not or not completely stripped:
This may lead to a very low DC-voltage or high voltage dips or differences. Heaters might not work, so the tubes are also not working. The wires must be stripped and the protective lacquer must be removed to get a good connection. Blank copper at the junction!
  • Thinking that the schematic or layout is wrong or a component is faulty:
ALL Lows were already built successfully several times without a problem. ALL builds are proven! Errors in the plans were promptly corrected and the latest schematics and layouts provided on line. Also, the probability of a component delivered defective is extremely low and so far, according to our information, hasn't happen before.
  • 6,3 mm Jacks connected wrong
